Laboratoire K
This laboratory is part of a large abandoned (urbex) hospital in a big and busy city in Belgium. The hospital is the result of two hospitals merging together in the year 1999. The organisation behind the two hospitals can look back on a long tradition in health care and has been active since the 13th century. This particular hospital was built in the year 1934. Just one year after the merge, the organisation decided the two hospitals should be situated on one single location so they build a new building for the merged hospital, which opened at the beginning of this year. Since the relocation of the patients, the old hospitals are left abandoned. This laboratory is situated on the same campus as one of the old hospitals and is only investigating dust on the lab tables these days. We didn't have the chance to visit the hospital itself though, since we didn't find any entrance, so we will have to make a revisit soon! ;)
