Swimming Pool Spiere - Helkijn
In 1935 a water treatment plant was built on the estuary of a small river in Belgium, so that the polluted water could purge from northern France. The process used was not efficient and the station was transformed into one of the first open-air pools of Belgium. In 1953 a swimmer drowned in the pool and after 1958 it became obsolete and dilapidated. The building will be restored soon and will be transformed into a observation point for cyclists and hikers.
